Christmas Prep - a little belated but still....

Trying on one of many Christmas dresses for the season. It's good to be a girl.
Hanging the stockings by the faux-chimney with care....
Licking the beaters after my first batch od sugar cookies - this was definitely one of my favorite discoveries of the season. I came to understand that "baking" is really just code for "lick the batter" - YUM!
Doing my part to dress up our Tesco value tree (only £9!) which mom bought last year out of uncertainty about our permanence in the UK. Nothing says Christmas like the smell of green plastic, eh?

Happy Birthday to Me!

I woke up to a treasure hunt and found my new bike in the garden shed. hooray!
First things first, learn how to ride a bike.

Holiday Times

Some candids of us at one of our first Christmas gatherings of the season.
Daddy with Dr. Hardin (and, appropriately, the Chex mix)
Mommy and I (I am chewing the 19th cookie of the night)
the big little bro

p.s. Camera battery died and we can't find the charger so my birthday pics will be updated as soon as Mom gets around to it. And...we all know not to hold our breath on that, right?

Our Real Life

UNlike other kids who spend their time reading and doing crafts and other enriching activities, our regular post-nap day often has us spending a fair amount of time watching the Cars DVD. Many Thanks to Auntie Meg for the excellent film recommendation. We are obsessed.

Hide and Seek Part II

Medley Manor Farm

We decided to take advantage of the rare sunny summer day and head to the Farm near our house to get some "fruit and veg" for dinner. Here I am picking raspberries. Walker eating some grass...

Out in the Country with Nana and Pop

Nana and Pop came to visit for about 10 days and we decided to take advantage of our one day of sunshine to walk up to the Trout pub in Wolvercote. If only every day were so sunny and summer-like...

Red Ripe Strawberry for the Big Hungry Bear

Inspired by our new favorite book from Aunt Maggie, The Red Ripe Strawberry and The Big Hungry Bear, we decided to try and grow a few of our own. Here is Addie picking the first one. To ensure the big hungry bear wouldn't get it first, of course.
